After many years of anticipation, Google have announced that they are infact developing an Operating System.
Although initially being aimed at Netbooks and Low-Cost PC’s it could make it onto desktops, and Netbooks with Chrome OS could be shipping by mid-2010.
“Speed, simplicity and security are the key aspects of Google Chrome OS,” Google stated in its official blog.
They also stated that;
“We are completely redesigning the underlying security architecture of the OS so that users don’t have to deal with viruses, malware and security updates.
“It should just work”.
Looks like this could be one interesting Operating System.
